I'm due to start a new job at the end of this month and for the first time for a very long time I will not have a company car.

I had hoped this "day" would soon arrive and have been patiently waiting!

Last week I got the news that I secured the position and today I bought my "new" (well new to me) work car. Its a 2.7 XF premium luxury. 2008 58 plate with 60k miles in light blue (sorry I don't know the proper name for the colour yet) with a black leather interior.

I've driven a few today and, wouldn't you know it, it was the last one of the day (and closest to home) that was "the one"!

Up until recently I had been a committed Saab driver (my last c-car had been a NG2 9-5 TTiD Aero) but, given the very uncertain future for what is left of Saab, I decided that it was time to "up my game" and finally purchase a really desirable car.

So here I am!

I should hopefully pick it up next week.

I really can't wait!

Good Morning Steve, and welcome to the Club.

 

The XF was the replacement of for the S Type and the 2.7 Diesel  engine is the same as in my S Type, and is a very good performer.

 

The club members averred helpful and I hope  you enjoy your car as well as theClub.
