Hi Guys

My DPF (amber) warning light comes on shortly into any journey. I have only had the car 2 months and done some fairly long journeys in it (Scotland and back) and at first I thought it may be due to low battery and I have not used the Jag for a week or so. Along with the warning light there is a clicking noise from under the car when I pull up and a sooty smell so I am assuming I will need a demap, doe's this sound right! Dave

Hi Dave,

DPF should have regenerated with a long run at a good speed.

A cheap possibility is using a DPF cleaner ---  Wynns do one for about £6, and there are other kits available.

Worth a try, and if it doesn't work then have it cleaned in a garage.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Peter

Thanks for your advise. Funny enough i had just done some more research since posting and came across the Wynns product, Halfords at £9.99 but i will shop around to see if i can get to a bit cheaper and give it a go, seems to have great reviews.

Onwards & Upwards

Regards

Dave
