Good Evening

I have browsed this forum for a while and have just registered.

I hope to call on some knowledge if possible from anyone, I own a 2002 S Type R that I've had for 4 years. A fantastic car and one that I hope to keep forever.

I have run it as normal until the Mrs hit a bollard and took 2 doors out of action in the process. I then decided that I would take it off the road and give it some TLC.

I am starting with the engine before any cosmetics, it is out of the car and being rebuilt with new chains etc.

I am keen to maximise any potential upgrade in power whilst the engine is out, I have been told an updated supercharger pulley and twin screw is possible. Are there any other combinations you can suggest along with a remap that I can do before re installation?

I am looking for 500+ HP

Thanks in advance

Hi Steve,

I envy you the R ownership, I'm loving my 3.0 sport but I'm starting to consider upgrading to an R at some point, or an XKR perhaps. From my limited experience of this forum, I'd suggest this is not the place for the advice you want, although I could be wrong.

I understand pulley and chip is the way to go for the power you want, 550bhp is possible I understand, but if there is any specific prep you need to do on the stripped engine, I'm not sure. Depends slightly on what's worn, broken or at risk I guess ;)

Good luck, Russ
