Hello, I have 2 2007 XJ executive's that i use for my luxury travel company. One of them has developed a fault which is, if you pull away without your seatbelt off the audible beeps have stopped sounding. The red light on the dash is still illuminated though.

I wondered if anyone has had this problem on there XJ and if so what is the part to cure it?

Thanks Dale.

Hi Dale, and Welcome to the club.

The S type and the  XJ are similar in interior design, and I know exactly what you mean.

I have looked through my handbook and there does not appear to be any information [other than it is not fitted uncertain countries] which does indicate that there must be a sensor or fuse at fault.

The cheapest way to go is to check the fuse.

Regards,

Peter.

do other warning sounds work as they tend to all use the same little speaker which could be the fault?  If you have warning sounds for "door open", or "lights still on" etc then try these and see if they sound. If they don't then you can assume the little speaker system is buggered, if they do all work then i'm buggered  :)
