Can anyone advise me?? - did an S type V6 petrol of 2000 have an engine / gearbox undertray. I have been told not by a spares supplier but the underside does seem rather exposed without it and there seems to be various fastening holes on the suspension cross member.

Thanks,

Steve

Mine doesn't, but I presumed this was left off. TBH, I wasn't too disappointed as I have maintenance to do and it saved me the bother of removing it. If it was a standard fitment, I may restore it at some point, so I'll watch this thread with interest...

My 2000 3.0 V6 doesn't have it and I assumed it had been lost/left off at some point but maybe they were only fitted on later models.

Anyone know for sure?

There appears to be doubt as to whether the undertray is a standard fitment, and I have looked around the various spare part dealers find that the part is listed as the same for all petrol engines, but different for the 2.7 diesel.  It is not mentioned in the optional extras for the Jaguar S type, either

The David Manners Group sell the part for £104 inclusive of VAT, and it could be worth the price of a 'phone call to find out for certain in the pre facelift models had the fitment as standard.

Regards,

Peter.
