Hi everyone, many apologies if this has been asked previously or is tagged elsewhere, but I was wondering if someone could answer what I hope is a really simple question?

I have only recently purchased a 2008 XF which I think is a fabulous car. But...........How on earth do I change the brightness on the Dashboard / Instruments? They are extremely dim, (probably like me, when I find out the answer) and I am struggling to see anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks in advance

Hi David, and welcome to the club.

There should be a dimmer switch on the dashboard   ---   there is on my S Type, and there is a similar one on my son's X Type.

Have you got an Owners Manuall?  If not, I think you can either download on or get one from eBay.

Let us know how you get on.

Regards,

Peter.

Good Morning Peter and many thanks for the warm welcome.

Unfortunately I don't have an owners manual, However, have ordered one from eBay as you suggest.

In the meantime, DOH!!!! I have found the dimmer switch which was under my nose all the time. I did say at the beginning about "dim".

Well, that's a big difference. Thanks very much for pointing me in the right direction.

Hi David,

Some drivers do like the dashboard lights to be quite dimmed down, and I have known drivers who like them off completely.

Personally, I like to know what the engine is doing!

Regards,

Peter.
