Hello to everyone!

I joined the group back in November and thought it was time to introduce myself, I became a first time Jaguar owner back in November having previously owned a Rover 75.In October I visited my brother up in Elgin in the Scottish Highlands some 441 miles from where I'm based,Bridlington on the Yorkshire coast,he had recently bought a s-type which sadly had been neglected for a few years and was gradually bringing her back up to scratch, we had a few days out during my visit and always took the Jag,I was impressed by it's comfortable ride, quietness and of course the acceleration all of which I was happy with, with my Rover but this was something else!! Roughly 300 miles into my return journey my beloved Rover suffered clutch problems, I nursed her home but the repair bill's quoted were crazy and decided it was time to part company. As for its replacement it had to be a Jaguar s-type!!! After scanning eBay for a few days I found a 3.0 V6 sport Auto and for me it was love at first sight ha ha. Touch wood (touching my head) I've had no trouble's to date and I'm looking forward to taking her back up North in April.

                                                                                             Cheers Mark.

Welcome to the club, Mark.

I used to have a Rover 825 Sterling and found it was a great car.  I kept it for a long time, and reluctantly it had to go. SWMBO said it was getting tatty.  And so first the X Type and then the S type..

Both are great cars, and the S Type is a real head turner.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Mark

welcome as well, any pics at all?

regards
