Good luck Ian, let us know how you get on. I cannot understand why these so called professional design engineers with car manufacturers spending millions on design not just Jaguar but the like of Mercedes also (I performed the same mod on a SL) cannot get this right from the concept. My wife's little Citroen DX3 folds the mirrors inwards when she locks the car. Come on, it it not rocket science to install a relay with a coil feed from the auto lock mechanism feeding the voltage to a mirror fold.

Bit untidy, but who's going to see it with the lid on.

When you have proved it working Ian sketch me a circuit layout and I will draw it up on CAD for others to undertake, with your permission of course.

Message to all, there seems to be some confusion, this mod was passed to me very kindly from Paul (Raistlin) some days ago, all i have had to do is purchase the parts £16 and a bit of soldering.

Well done to Paul then. Same goes to you Paul if you wish to sketch out the circuit diagram I will draw it up on CAD then pdf for the club's archives

I did ask Pauls permission earlier to share this and he very kindly agreed to let me do so.

Looks like Paul has done a very good drawing anyway.

The original idea was not mine chaps and I acknowledge John Wright as the originator  It does work well however.

At the moment I'm using it as part of a development to enable a disabled driver to continue to use his beloved S-Type, by means of a multi function remote which will compensate for his lack of mobility in his right arm / side. If my project comes to fruition, I'll be licencing the right to use the idea from the originator.

If you need any assistance with electrical design Paul then I am here to assist if need be. How do you get your signature correct mine has gone off on a world of its own, only half the Jaguar is displaying

Thanks Kenny.

My signature picture is 264 x 165 pixels and keep original aspect ratio. Other than that I don't know what to suggest. By all means, as a moderator, have a delve around in my account settings to see if there is something you can identify that is different.

Thanks Paul

That is so true.

My sister is a well respected poet and author, and she has come across many instances when editing anthologies to find items which bear marked resemblances to other people's work.
