Pigeon racing is a very interesting sport, Walter.  Tell us more sometime!

I was born and brought up in an area where there were real country sports that did not harm animals.  There use to be dozens of men with Pigeon Baskets on the bak of their bikes riding 20 miles away to race their pigeons, and there was whippet racing alongside the wall that kept us kids off the railway.

I friend of mine use to race pigeons, but never won a thing, till one Sunday evening, when someone came into the village pub to tell him he had  seen his bird come home about half an hour ago.

When the result came in he was fourth beaten by three other birds by just a few minutes!

Demon Drink!!

Peter.

Keeping your birds in the boot ... and there was I thinking that I'd heard it all !!

Walter, you're an example to us all ... magnificent !!

Best, Rowley

PS ... glad to see that you've decided to stay involved rather than leaving the Forum !
