Ok 3rd post prob in a wrong area. Buy need help

Just got my 2005 X-Type but keyfobs are playing up I have put in new Duracell bats  but still having issues sometimes it works fine then next time 10 minutes before I put the key in the lock old school is there a cheap fix or am I off to the steelers?

Hi Martin, 

It is probable that the key fob needs reprogramming.  Just try looking for an auto electrician/locksmith who will do the job cheaper that a main dealer.
