Hi everyone,

During the winter when trying to start engine (2.2 diesel 2008 auto) it seemed as though it was only firing on 3 cylinders. I changed the glow plugs but no difference.

Took to jaguar spec. they said they couldn`t find the problem. It was now getting worse. Once warmed up it was ok and remained ok all day.

I took it to my local garage who suspected leaky injector. They took them out, had them checked out, replace two of them, refitted everything, change engine Oil and filter and car now runs beautifully again. Just done a round trip from east yorks to garstang and back towing a caravan and it was a pleasure !!

Hope this helps others with a similar problem.

Cheers

Hi Rodney,

If you find a good independent garage you should get a good level of expertise about cars by mechanics who have worked on every model of car.

Sharing experiences always helps!

Regards

Peter.
