New Jag Owner

Hi All. 

 

Just bought my first ever jag. Lovely 07 XJ6 Exec. 

 

Has a little niggle. Message appears saying cannot apply handbrake. It's one of those EPB. 

 

any ideas?

Hi Josh, and Welcome to the club.

To correct the niggle, just follow the following route:

First make sure you have your Radio Code to hand.

Make sure the ignition is off and the key taken out.

Then disconnect the battery for about thirty seconds, and then reconnect.  The  alarm will go off, and use the key fob to switch it off.  

You then will have to depress the foot bark and hand brake.  The Message should disappear.

You will then have to reset the radio, clock etc, and the windows, as  in the handbook.

That takes about five minutes.  After that just set about enjoying the Jaguar experience.
