Hi,

I was called last week by Ridgeway Jaguar to tell me that my car (2012 3.0 XF Portfolio S) was subject to a recall and that I needed to take it in (not urgent - booked it to be done in a fortnight). His approach was what you'd expect, very apologetic, fully paid for, etc.

I'm pretty sure he said it related to a crank sensor but the reason isn't listed in the follow up email he sent so I could be mistaken.

The thing is, I can't find any mention of the recall anywhere and don't see anything on the forum so I was wondering if anyone else has been contacted?

Cheers,

Al.

Hi,

I have a same year, 3.0 premium luxury s model, and not had a recall notice. But I have only owned the car for about 6 weeks so I may have missed it!

Anyone know a way to check for model recalls other than asking a main dealer?

cheers

I did a search on the Jaguar website which came up with ZERO information regarding any recalls.

I then did a simple google search which brought up several dealers that seem to have information regarding recalls - this cut and paste from the first one I saw http://repairpal.com/jaguar/xf/recalls

Edit: I further read that the above is a US website.  Rather than pasting lots of text relating to same I will just past this - Recall 16V373000.  My first thoughts are that it might just be related to the US but as this is talking about injury or death, we should all be aware.  I will be contacting Jaguar UK myself (my previous main dealership told me that there have been NO XF recalls for my car)!

Regards

Graham
