Hey all,

I am suddenly getting stuttering sound from radio or single cd.

Optic test is saying main

Ive checked the cdc and satnav connections in the boot, fuses seem fine. Done a ten minute battery disconnect as well.

What am I missing, any help would be very much appreciated as its driving me nuts

Hmmm, can't comment categorically, but could it just be a loose connection?

My S-Type came without a cartridge for the CDC, and not being able to find another cartridge, I did find an entire CDC with cartridge for £30 which I fitted yesterday. Works fine now and a cheap quick win I think

If not a loose connection, broken wire, or something obvious, you may be able to get a cheap 2nd hand part, like I did, or this could be time for an upgrade!

Hope you sort it

Ok thanks Russ, will keep digging around

Update.

I took out the CDC and Sat Nav, checked all connections and put it back and it all works. Except the CDC is now not there. Power is there but when CDC button is pressed then nothing happens. I have tried using the hidden menu option (phone + menu 1971)to select CDC but after ignition it disappears along with the phone

Any ideas anyone

My cdc has started to mute and then unmute when its been stood over night and then started in the morning im putting it down to not driving it much and condensation it goes away and works fine after 5 mins of being on. Is this whats happening with yours?

Ryan, my issue now is its like the CDC isn't there anymore as far as the control center is concerned.

Sacha, it sounds almost as though your CDC has become deleted from your car's equipment database, although I'm stumped as to why.

Is there anybody near you who could attach the SDD (Jaguar diagnostics) and have a quick look?

I'd do so myself but I'm probably a bit too far away from you. However, if you're heading towards the West Midlands, happy to help.

Does your GPS still mute the radio when giving directions? Are you able to borrow a CDC and substitute it into your car.
