Wing mirror issue

Featured Replies

Brought an s type over the weekend. Ive noticed that the passenger side wing mirror only moves up and down and not side to side.

Ive tried searching on the forum but couldnt find what the problem is, any one have any advice?

Should I look at a new wing mirror or is it a motor problem.

Sorry if the answer is obvious, ive not had a lot of experience with fixing car issues.

It's possibly not moving because of lack of use?  On other cars I have gently moved the mirror by hand to free it up and also sprayed behind it with WD40.  However I would see what others advise first.

Worth a try. Thanks Gary.

Amandeep,

The first thing I'd do is swap mirror with the other side. That would confirm whether the fault lies within the mirror assembly or the switching / wiring
