Hi Folks

It's been six years since I owned an S Type - it was the first Jaguar I had, and turned oiut to be a bleeping nightmare.  I had wanted a gold manual 3.0 litre V6, and eventually found one in Wakefield.  Looked great inside and out, drove well (at the time) and it wasn't until I got it home and handed it over to a mechanic friend of mine, who put it up on his hoist, that the nightmare started.

The dealer had wired a piece of carpet under the bell housing - very discretely, so it couldn't be seen from an eyeball inspection.  It also turned out to be wreck, with faults that shoud not have passed an MOT (but, somehow, had !!!!!!)

Anyway, enough of that.  I have taken the plunge and bought another.  An '06 plate 2.7D SE auromatic (having done me homework), and bought it from a very respectable garage (Worlingham Motors in Suffolk), with a full Jaguar service history - a big mistake I made last time !

So..........

Hello :winkiss:

Hi

Looks very nice and Jaguar history is great

But the only thing I can recommend is have a look behind those plastic sill covers, they can hide a nightmare.

this was the first thing i checked when I bought my S-type

cheers
