My first Jag

Featured Replies

Just bought my first Jag an AWD 2.5 auto X type.

It is my other car as i also have an MX5 for racing and summer, but with a family the a3 3 door hatchback i had was not comfortable so time to get something bigger. My wife has her own car also so we are not short of transport and i dont need a car for work so this really is a mix of fun and utility.

I kept looking at the usual suspects and then thought - hang on, ive always wanted one of these and you get alot of car for the cash

I bought it from a local Jag specialist who is also a great bloke to know  - drove it home today, very comfortable and nice to drive.

I do my own spanner bashing and will be doing my own servicing and maintenance so hopefully can utilise some knowledge from this forum.

Welcome Richard,

I also have a 2.5, a great car on many levels.

Great bunch on here to help out if you need it.

Cheers, already started looking at a few bits - sticky door handle and one speaker cracking!

apart from that I am loving the car!

Hi Richard,

My first Jaguar was a 2.5 AWD x type, though with  a manual gearbox, - a very lively car and a great road holder.

I am sure that with your skills you will sort out an niggles!

Regards,

Peter.
