I was driving the other day and the radio was working fine and then later on, it finally dawned on me no music was playing so I turned up the volume and there was none.  The radio is working fine, you can see the station that is playing, name of the song, etc. but there is no sound whatsoever. I went to an imports mechanic shop and asked and the guy said it wouldn't be a fuse and then asked me if I had automatic volume control, sadly i didn't know but he told me how to check so I did and sure enough I have it. He said there may be a problem with that. I looked through the owner's manual, etc. and turned it off but the radio still doesn't work.  Any suggestions?

Have you got Alpine premium sound?

Do you get audio from other sourses?

Do you get the clicking sound when you use the indicators?

Do you Jaguar Voice and if so does it respond?

Can you see the audio amp in "Mode" (ie, can you see a setting for sub woofers?)

I must not have Jaguar Voice because when i select the voice button on the left side of the steering wheel it displays "Mute On".  Also, I do not see a setting when I select Mode. I only see Treble, Bass and Fade.

From what you've said Jodi, the problem lies with your amplifier.

It is located at the top of the stack in the boot on the left hand side, where the Sat Nav controller is.

If I were you I'd be checking the connectors on the amplifier. You will need to remove the trim panel to inspect properly.

Where are you located?
