Hi, all

Am looking to get a second hand 2011/2012 jaguar xf in new year, but am looking at 2.2 or 3.0. the fuel figures on paper 2.2 comes out best but reading and YouTube says no difference ? or very little. any views on this advice would be helpful

My 3.0 D averages similar to the 2.2 around town but on long motorway runs I have had over 50mpg!  Yes this can be achieved if you can resist the urge to drive over the nominal, and a strong wind isn't head on!  As you are choosing between the 2.2 and 3.0, they both have ample power.  The 2.2 is marginally cheaper for servicing (sometimes, not always).  However, I tend to believe that larger engines seem to outlast smaller ones by many miles, probably because they are not usually thrashed!
