Front strut question

Evening all just a quick and possibly stupid question.

I've got the opportunity to buy a v6 sport X-TYPE which has failed it's mot on the sills and a front spring and strut, I had a 2.0D which I'm currently breaking would the struts be the same?.

If it needs to much welding then I will be scrapping it after I've taken the touchscreen etc out for mine.

They might not be the exact same, but if yo swapped both front you should get away with it

the truth will be once there swapped if the car sits the same, dampers should be the same, springs might be different
