Sill upgrade

Hi all can someone with more knowledge of X-TYPES please tell me when Jaguar made the changes to the sills to help stop them rotting, my local mechanic seems to think it was 2005 is this true?

Don't think they did, it does not seem to be year related

some early's ones are in perfect condition and some later ones rot terrible ad vice versa

at lot of it is where the vehicle is kept, damp and condensation is the biggest cause
