Hello everyone.

I bought my x type on the 4th of feb this year. for the first 3 weeks all was fine, then the eml light came on. all the indication where that it was the egr. having fitted a new one, the eml returned. I took it to my local indie garage and was told it was the fuel metering valve and turbo actuator ( caused by a clogged turbo, so overhaul required). they replaced the valve and fitted a 2nd hand turbo and actuator for me. a week later the eml returned, this time injectors. so i bought a set of recon ones from pf jones. 3 days later, on my way home from work, it cut out on me. the recovery guy was an !Removed!, he just pulled all the fuses and hooked it up. my garage has had the fuel pump away to be tested and its toast and probably taken the injectors with it.  Amongst all that, wheel bearing water pump and auxiliary belt needed.

So, my questions are this?

Is this the joy of Jaguar ownership

Does it ever stop

Does anyone know where I can pick up a set of injectors and a pump fairly cheap

Thanks

Hi Stefan , wow you have had a bad start to Jaguar ownership . I don't think it's a Jaguar thing , just second hand cars in general . I have owned dozens of cars and some have been good to me and some have tested my patience to the limit . I would stick with it , get it sorted and hopefully start enjoying it . E-bay is a good source for used parts and i'm sure a few members will give you a few pointers with some of your problems .

Regards ,

Andy.
