Hello people far more knowledgeable than I.

I have just had a call from my wife who, upon entering a driveway has caught one (or more) of the doors on a wall. As this is does not involve a third party, I would be very keen on keeping this away from the insurers, with the excess and obvious premium hike next year and so I have a question...

Our XF is MY13 and there are plenty of breakers selling complete doors - some of which are in the exact colour as ours. Does the MY matter when it comes to the doors? I.e. was the facelift the only change?

Your help would be very much appreciated.

Best wishes

Hi Jan, and welcome to the club.

Not having and EX, a phone call to a friendly dealer could answer your question.  It could also be useful to check out a parts catalogue from some one like SNG Barrett, Rimmer Bros, or the David Manners Group.

At a guess, however, facelift models do not have many changes to the body itself.  Googleing the specification changes might give you the answer,

Regards

Peter.

The outer door frames are the same except for the rear on a Sportbrake..

Whatever door you get? They will need stripping inside to fit the electrics and change the door handle so your wasting money buying a complete? Door, Plus higher up the range the leather trim will differ,The outer window frame trims can be either stainless or black. Then there's glass tint to consider the most common is green.
