Stereo cables

Featured Replies

Hi I have  2003 x type 2.5 auto awd

I was going to put in a double din stereo, ordered the wiring adaptors and found that they aren't the right ones they only fit one of the 3 looms that are on the back of the stereo. So I would like to know what the wire looms are  I have added two picture of the wires I don't know so do please help thanks

HI

are you trying to replace the 7" jaguar touch screen, with a after market one, if so you cant, because you will lose all you heater climate control.

the cable your holding a a fibre optic D2B network on the car, all the sound is digitaly sent down that fibre optic, that fibre optic loops into every thing with sound on the car, and send it to the amp for sound,if any of the fibre loop is disconnected you will loose all the sound on the car, stereo, cd, dvd, nav ,voice , phone, bluetooth

If your car has the older lcd display, then this connector is not used, unless your car has nav, voice , phone, bluetooth and the loom you have is most probably correct

what stereo are you replacing

cheers

I have fitted the stereo and works fine but there wasn't a wire from the box that says its for the steering wheel buttons looked at a lot of the same looms and the all don't have this wire so question is what wire do i need and where to get it from ?

thanks

Hi

You wont get the steering wheel buttons to work on any other stereo

the buttons on the steering wheel communicate with the body control module with canbus and then communicates with the stereo also with canbus

as far as I'm aware no one does a canbus adapter for steering controls for Jaguars

cheers

Joe
