2007 STR 45k miles

My audio system has stopped working:
CDC not recognised, tel module not recognised, voice commands failure (screen says "mute on"), no audio on sat nav.....no audio full stop.

I have checked the optical connections in boot/trunk and all seem fine and fuses are good. Someone told me that there can be a dodgy connection in the passenger footwell but I can't find it...

Can anyone shed some light on where it is?
Cheers

Hi

As far as I'm aware there's no joints in the foot well,

but it may be behind the front cd player, the cd player is the main D2B network controller, If you lose that connection you lose everything

also have you disconnected the battery first, if the system had a fault, disconnecting the battery will clear it, make sure you have the code first for the cd player

also make sure you battery is ok, above 12.5 volts with engine off, low battery will cause loads of different faults

cheers

I was also thinking of the battery.  I was told that if  it is failing the less important parts of the car's equipment will start to shut down first.
