No drive

Hello all,

 

Here is another newbie in need of help!! My 3ltr v6 auto x type has lost drive and does not react to any forward drive selection. Reverse seems to be ok!! I can only assume that the box is shot but just wondering if any of you lovely Jag enthusiasts know of any other fault. I have changed the box Oil.

Is it 5 speed or 6 speed

does the D light up in drive, in not it does not know its in drive, might want cable adjusting

does it work on manual j-gate side , also does 2, 3, 4,or 5 light up

you need to plug with software  really, might just be a simple fault or sensor,

a descent auto box specialist should be able to sort it

I have looked and the lights for drive and 234 also light up but will not select drive.  I will be trying to find someone this week who can take a look before I spend on a box!!
