I have recently noticed a barely perceptible thud or soft clunk when pulling away and at very low speeds.  When at walking pace and I come off the throttle then press it again it as if there is some slack being taken up in the transmission.  It feels like its from the rear, not steering of g/box.  I'm thinking a bush of some sort, suspension?

Anyone experienced anything similar?  Nothing picked up on recent MOT.

Hi

Might be propshaft, rubber couplings

between the propshaft section there a rubber coupling/ doughnut, the rubber breaks up and can cause a clunk going on and off the power

cheers

Yup, sounds more like transmission if on pulling away rather than going over an uneven road surface, I reckon Joe has nailed it with his previous comment :wink1:
