Well, this is a long-winded article, but I just thought it was interesting to read how the X-type Jaguar came into being.  Not a Ford Mondeo with a different bodyshell, as lots of people think.  I don't.  Mondeo was a good car anyway, just shares a few parts with the Jag, as it was a Ford company at the time.  Pasts are quite cheap if you can use Mondeo parts instead of Jaguar parts.  I have noticed no difference with quality.
