Featured Replies

My brake pads are needing replacement what should I buy to put on the car pros and cons would be really helpful as on why certain ones are better than others and why or why not to use certain ones ?

hi

try british car parts https://www.britishparts.co.uk/

or sng barratt https://www.sngbarratt.com/uk/#!/English/FindParts/Families

both offer genuine and aftermarket, I'd go for the aftermarket there just as good and jaguar dont make there own discs any way there bought in

cheers

Joe

Welcome to the club, Andrew.

I concur with Joe.  I have had my s type for four and a half years and there  has been no problem with my brake pads or discs.

Don't get the cheap parts, but go to reputable suppliers.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Andrew,

Always good to hear from a new member.

I fully concur with Joe and Peter above. I recently replaced the front disks and pads on my S Type using a Delphi kit I purchased via eBay for around £83 plus another £15 for other consumables I did not have to hand at the time. The Delphi products are very good in my opinion but there are many others out there that are probably just as good. Just make sure that you only buy from a reputable dealer biased here in the UK and you should be OK.

Enjoy the X Type and let us all know how you get on.

Cheers,

Steve
