A Sticky Problem

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have noticed that the plastic strip with 'JAGUAR' on it that sits just below the spoiler on the boot lid is coming unstuck.

  1. What is the best way to remove it completely without damage?
  2. How to remove the sticky adhesive strip and clean up the boot lid for re application?
  3. What is the best thing to re fix it with? and where do I get it from?

Hi Andrew,

I would try WD40 to gently get it off and the same product to clean up the boot lid.

Araldite might be the best way of getting it back or even some of the impact adhesive available.

Peter.

hi

WD40 as above to remove

if you get your self a roll of double sided trim tape, clean both well and stick the tape to the trim and then stick to the car

should do the job

cheers

Joe
