Hi everyone I just bought an 05 plate XJ6 3.0 SE and I need to replace the drivers side door mirror glass, was wondering if the S type has the same mirrors.

Welcome to the club, Joe.

As far as I know the s type has the same mirrors.

In fact i have just has to replace the full passenger side mirror unit as the interior mechanism was worn out.  I went to eBay and managed to get a full mirror unit for £27.90 [inc postage].  eBay is worth looking as as dismantlers use it a lot.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Joe,

The sat nav can be updated but only to 2012.

There are several good companies that will sell you a disc for around £25.  Just google "Sat Nav Update"

Peter.

Joe,

As Peter advised, I updated my XF when I got it but it has a different system and has a hard drive which cost a bit more than the type you will have.

My only previous Jags were X-Types and neither of the two had Sat-Nav.

Bill
