Rear parking camera slow on uptake

Featured Replies

Hi, I read somewhere on the 'net' that there may be a 'fix' for the slow start up of the reversing camera display on my 2012 Jaguar XF - anybody come across this or have more info?

The display can be really slow to engage sometimes

I have not heard of the fix but mine is the same. Sometimes I engage reverse and have finished the manoeuvre before the camera even comes on.

Welcome to the Club, Clive.

I don't have the camera on my s type - wish I had - but my wife has a Toyota Yaris which has a camera.  It comes on very quickly when you put the car into reverse.  Just about 2 seconds.

I wonder, like you, why the Jaguar isn't that quick.

Regards,

Peter.

Old Peter,

I have been a member for a few years now but post very little.

Sometimes (mostly) the camera comes

on immediately just now and then it has a ‘think’....

Cheers

HI Clive,

I thought you had but, as you say, not posting a lot.

I am having a problem with the rear parking sensors and my mechanic is coming over this evening when traffic has died down to put his diagnostics on and locate the source.

[Jaguar main dealers will diagnose the fault for £174].

Regards,

Peter.
