P0037 fault code says bank 1 sensor 2 HO 2 sensor. Jag X Type 2.5 v6 petrol. 2002 auto.

Question is, where is sensor no. 2?

All the pics I have seen show a sensor immediately after the exhaust manifold, but before the 'collector box' (is that the cat?)?????

I cannot get a simple, definitive answer to where it is and have replaced one sensor to no avail; I have obviously replaced the wrong one.

It comes to something when you have all this technology and you know what the fault is, but you simply cannot physically locate the sensor!!!!!!!!!

I was sent this picture but it is not correct; I have replaced the lower (in pic) sensor and it has solved nothing. The schematic pic says it is above it, but this would be the 'upstream' sensor, surely???

It says no. 2 which is downstream.

Anyway, neither of the pics seems correct, so where is bank 1 sensor 2???????

Booked in at a garage for next week now as bored with it.

Cheers.
