XF-S Limited Performance - Error Codes

Featured Replies

Hi All,

My 2011 XF-S has developed a problem...

  • Screen displays Limited Performance
  • Diagnostic check shows 2 faults...
    • P006A - Manifold Absolute Pressure
    • P1247 - Turbocharger Boost Pressure Low

Any thoughts on what is needed to fix it gratefully received!

Local Indy dealer (where I bought it from) suggests a central turbo valve needs replacing.

Any insight gratefully received!

Cheers,
Jon

I had a similar problem with my XF-S a few years ago and it turn out to be a stuck pin in the valve that switches from Low to High pressure turbos. The pin costs about £20 but Jag charges around £250 to change it. It is a known fault. It can be changed by a good garage and I am told by an averagely knowledgeable owner.

Thanks Clive,

Beyond me, but I'll talk to my local indy dealer!

Thanks again!

J
