Hello everyone my first post as a new member  Ok big question does the xkr 2011 have headlight washers because if so how do they work , my local dealer said they had the bumper off to check them and said they'd got them working BUT I think they we're telling me lies   so are the molded aperture's just for show or do they hide a real washer ,

Many thanks.

Hi Craig.....welcome to the Forum

Headlamp washers work when the headlights are switched on and the washers activated.
You'll probably need someone to flick the windscreen washers while you are round the front of the car looking to see if the jets appear.

Good to have you onboard

Hi Craig,

When I got my s type 7 years ago the owners manual told me that the headlamp washers only worked when the headlights came on.  The lights on the s type have an automatic function.  I would guess that the XKR has the same.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Yongi,

The two oval covers on the bumper hide the actual washers. The washers for the headlight will operate once every six pushes of the the washer button. The headlights must be switched on for this to happen.

Have someone start the car and switch the lights on then push the washer button. If you stand at the front of the car you should see the covers spring out and the washer operate.

Hope this helps.
