Auto Gearbox

Featured Replies

Gearbox fault showing on dash car drives ok, but no reverse lights or parking sensors, when manually selecting gear car drives in full auto mode. anyone???

Hi Dave

You would be better to check for any codes, as it's probably nothing to do with gearbox.

Any code that shows up delete it and then see if it comes back on,as it'll save you money in the long run.

Regards Tom.

Thanks Tom, picking up a OBD reader later, will read codes tomorrow got to drive back to bristol from exeter first.

There is a reverse light switch on the top of the gearbox, this is probably your problem. Apparently easy to change

hi

you need get codes read, also generic code readers only read engine fault codes

it could be one of many things like abs sensor, best to get it read on Jaguar IDS/SDD so it will show all faults on the car

cheers

Joe

Hi Dave,

Can you post a picture of the offending item - I'm having similar issues with the wife's 2.2D Auto and it maybe the same issue as yours.

Cheers
