Hi How easy is it to change an instrument cluster on S type please?

Mine is in KPH, James said he does not like it wants it in proper mph

Is it best done by a mechanic?

Thank you

Julie.

Changing the cluster is not a particularly difficult job to do, a few screws and a couple of connectors. I think though, the cluster needs to be programmed to the car.

May be best to talk to a Jaguar Independent Specialist first before going ahead.

hi

can't be done easy on the S-type

the instrument cluster is part of the security system and coded to the car

swapping it will mean it needs recoding to the car, which is not easy, you would need someone with jaguar ids/sdd software

would be very expensive at a dealer, even if they would attempt it

cheers

Joe
