UPGRADED HEADLAMP BULBS - RECOMMENDATIONS

Featured Replies

I am looking to upgrade the headlamp bulbs (dipped and full beam} on my 2005 S Type 2.5 V6 Petrol.

The purpose of my upgrade is to produce more visibility (night driving) and nothing to do with making the car look different, better etc. Plainly I wish to keep the lights "road legal" and hoping for a reasonable longevity (not the upmost priority).

Advice/Preference of your upgrading would be very appreciated, before my purchasing.

Many thanks and Best Wishes, Regards, John

Have decided to refurbish the headlamp glasses first, to see if that increases any light to the road. My goodness all the lenses certainly look different for what was really a cheap enough action to take and only took about 2.5 hours per pair of lights. Have yet to test in the dark. Before and After attached. It also makes the car look more presentable as well.

What did you use? I've just got a 2006 V6 3.0l with a similar problem and there's so many options!

Thanks

I tried many things, all of which did not work. This worked well and first time. Do follow the instructions to the full and be patient. I have a feeling if you start taking short cuts it is not going to work. I spent about  2.5 hours on each pair of lights and ended up with what I consider to be "looking like new" lamps. Good Luck.

Thanks John, so it's elbow grease and patience!
