Featured Replies

i have an x type 2.2d it has the muti changer in boot seems to be ok. but when i press cd in car nothing happens, am i not doing something i should

It will have 2 buttons on it.....for the changer press CDC, for the single slot player press CD

it has a multi changer but only a cd button unless theother one is hidden

Brian

Having no CDC button suggests that the CD Changer may have been ad add on, after new. Is the Changer actually live, I.E. wired into something or is it just installed and not live? Does the CD in the dash actually play a disc?

Best Wishes and Good Luck solving the Problem, Regards, John

Brian, Do you have a circular Volume button about the size 2 cms on the controls on the radio. Have you tried pressing this button as on my S Type of the same era this button will turn the CDC on and off as well as control the volume.

Cheers, John

just turns radio of and on mate

Brian,  Sorry but I have nothing further to offer you. I am of the feeling that the equipment (changer ) in the boot is not original and not connected to anything we know. I am assuming rightly or wrongly that the cat is a recent purchase. If that is the case and the CD player has never worked, would it be worth trying to contact the previous owner/seller and asking for information? Regards, John

yes maybe john, but if no single cd on dash i think the multi one is origional, maybe someone else can throw some light on it, all the best john

Brian,  My S Type has the changer in the boot. It also has two controls under the screen CD and CDC, there is also a slot for a single CD which is the CD button. The changer in the boot is controlled by CDC and an on screen selector for any of the six tracks and any tracks on each disc.

Cheers, John

you could swap the cassette deck for the single cd in the dash, cheap on ebay, plug and play, make sure it comes with the code
