My name is Dan and I'm looking to buy my first Jaguar ,I would ideally like to buy a 4.2 or 5.0 coupe but I like all of the supercharged v8's so hoping to get the info I need to help me decide which one

Its a hard decision I know.

Running costs, will it be a car for every day use, Occasional use?

Do you want that extra power?

its really your choice which one would make you smile each time you drove it.

My personal Choice the 5.0.

No matter which you choose if you run a Jaguar it is going to be costly. I have no idea as to what age group you fall into or what you actually want the car for, pleasure or commuting, or if you will be maintaining the car yourself.

I am 72 years young and my wife passed away 12 months ago. My S-Type, which is costly to run and maintain is, other than my daughter and grandchildren, the major pleasure and enjoyment of my life these days.

My advice, based on knowing nothing about yourself or your reasons for having a Jaguar is, make certain what you buy is the best you can get for the money you are investing and go for the specification you really actually want.

Then just get on and enjoy the beast whichever you decide on.
