So recently bought a car and the sale went quite swift but had no reason to use the key fob till I was home turns out it won't lock and unlock nor will the buttons inside the car the only button that works is the one for lights any help  out appreciated

If you have just bought the car I would get back to the dealer and seek his help in curing the problem or replacing the key fob.

been doing some research i dont believe the fob is at fault as the car wouldnt start without it ill go to a JLR tomorrow if need

That will cost you an arm and a leg. Key Fobs are advertised for sell on Ebay. That may be a cheaper way of proving if it is the fob.

well ive found a local place called the jag centre in norwich. cars booked in with them for diagnostics at £75 free courtesy car too and wont carry out any repairs with out discussing the problem and costs so see what happens
