Restricted Performance

Featured Replies

This error message has appeared twice in the last ten days but cleared when switched off ignition for a minute. Any thoughts advice welcome. Thanks in anticipation.

Just comes up with warning triangle stating Restricted Performance and obviously in limp mode but as stated switch off wait one minute and it clears.

Your first port of call should be to fully charge the battery, if that doesn’t change things then have the codes read to see what the car is saying.

thanks for the advice will check tomorrow.

Had this same problem with my 2014 Jag 2.2 XF, went to my local garage who read the error as a plug/seal needed replacing, cost me £50, you can buy readers but before you get any further damage I'd certainly have it read first.

Thanks, will get my local mechanic to check for errors.
