Hi all ,  I’m having problems with my 2.0 d R-sport XE .  I’ve recently had a full service and since then I’ve been driving the car with no problems then all of a sudden whilst driving- my throttle doesn’t work. Then on idle the rev’s were going up and down on its own, Happens quite offen , it’s dangerous whilst on a busy road .

I have put it into the garage and a few things flagged up on the machine , So they …

changed the throttle sensor , piston Oil control valve , engine flush . Oil filter and Oil . £650 and only picking it up today, and it’s still happening. Anyone had this problem?

thanks

Hi Mark,

straight back to the garage if you ask me. The parts they changed obviously did not need changing, so charging you £650 to replace these parts that did not fix the problem should be instantly refunded.

I agree in theory that parts not need should not be charged for. Having said that I think it might be a rather delicate negotiation to achieve a full refund of the parts costs.

Good Luck and Best Wishes, Regards, John
