Help PLEASE!!!

2007 S type Parking Brake Failure. Tried disconnecting battery, no joy, disconnected module, no joy.

Trying to source module but, miraculously, every garage that quotes doesn't have one when telephoned.

Car been inoperable for 10 days now and getting desperate.

I'm told module must be BJ. Is this true?

Is there a way to release EPB and drive without it until I can source one?

Any help/suggestions most welcome.

thanks

This may help,

hi

does not need to be BJ

as long as the first two sets are the same, last set it revision and any will work, the higher the letters the newer it is

but needs to be off a similar car or it wont work and will need coding to the car

like a manual gearbox one will not work correct on a auto gearbox as software is different

a new unit will also come blank and need coding to the car

cheers

Many thanks to jimbov8 for video. 2 minutes and job done! Also thanks to Joe-dot-com for advice.

Used a normal 9V battery.

Cautionary note: if you use this fix it will also stop rear parking sensors working.

Thanks again

You’re welcome, glad to have helped and thanks for the update.🤙
