I have a nice 2007 3.0 V6 petrol S-Type it has been driving very nice. Recently I had a service which included Oil change with Oil filter and air filter and brake pads all round. It has developed a problem all of a sudden, I took the car to the local car wash and as soon as I drove away it started to idle erratically and I parked on the drive and did not use the car during the week due to work. Today I drove the car and it is idling eratically still and also showing restricted performance warning. I would be most grateful if anyone can advise me their experience or opinion and who in Birmingham may be able to fix it. Thank you

You should buy a code reader. The codes will tell us the nature of the fault.

Thank you for your help, I did use my OBD code reader but no codes were scored, I called the RAC and even the RAC mans more sophisticated code reader didn't pick anything up. Any way after disconnecting 3 of the coins that are accessible easily and reconnecting them the car is running fine. The other 3 coils and spark plugs can only be accessed by removing the inlet manifold.
