Hi All,

Delighted to be able to join you as today I’ve signed on the dotted line and purchased an XF. The Jaguar is the only car I’ve ever actually desired, and as I’m just over 60 (I can’t believe I’m that age) it’s now or never. Test drove it on Saturday it’s a dream, one owner, full Jaguar service history and 37k miles. Awaiting deliver later this week, really excited.

Look forward to help and advice from all of you in the “Prowl” which is one of the collective nouns for a group of Jaguars 🐆the other two being “Leap” or “Parade”

Catch up soon,

Norfolk Ian 🐾

PS I have posted same message in new owners forum topic

Hi

Welcome to the "prowl" 🙂

Best advice I can give is if you are not using for long journeys every week get yourself a Ctek battery maintainer as, as with most modern "premium" cars they can flatten the battery at an alarming rate. I would suggest an overnight charge once a week will keep you purring happily.

Hi Ian,

Welcome to the group!

I've been in a similar situation - always craved an XF, but they were never on the list of company cars I had for many years (although a Golf VR6 and an Imprezza Turbo were!).

So, upon giving up the work scene (and retuning a Mercedes A220), I bought an '11 reg XF-S Portfolio. Lovely car, but was becoming a money pit, so swapped it last year for a '17 reg XF-S. Even more lovely! Loaded with most available options, but I do miss the cooled seats the previous one had.

I hope you enjoy your XF experience!

All the best,
Jon

Hi Jon,

Thank you for your welcome, I looked at a couple of XR’s prior to choosing. Low mileage, one owner and Jaguar Dealer service history. So fingers crossed 🤞 and looking forward to confirmation of delivery.

Speak again I’m sure,

Ian 🐾
