Good morning. My 2001 jaguar s-type keeps overheating even after the thermostat was changed.

What is the engine capacity and has the radiator been changed for an aftermarket one? The other thing that can happen is a new rad splitting - that is the channels running across the rad 'part'.

Hi

I would start with basics first and get a sniff test done, quick and easy, will confirm the head gaskets are ok, the most common reason for over heating on the S-types, if a hose has failed and the car has overheated, usually causes head gasket failure.

once thats confirmed ok, then start to check items like radiator and water pump, aux pump, air locks.

cheers

Joe
