Mild Hybrid oil consumption

Hi, Questioning the low Oil level after covering 500 miles since collecting my 2.0L Diesel Mild Hybrid, I'm told by the Main Dealer that a need for 1lt every 500 miles is, and I quote "not unexpected". My last 2.0L diesel F Pace was extremely frugal with its use of Oil, and so I'm quite surprised!

Anyone out there with a similar vehicle care to comment?

I work for a JLR main dealer and have F-PACE's as my company cars.

My mileage dictates that I usually have to change them at 3 months old with around 6k miles (hence I have gone through a lot of them in the last 4 years !)

I have never yet had one that has needed any additional Oil.

Unless it was underfilled in the first place, a litre per 500 miles sounds ridiculous.

Based on the statement from the dealer, expect to use 42 litres between Oil changes ! (21,000 miles or 2 years) !
