I have a judder from the car when pulling away and was hoping someone may have some idea regarding this problem ? It has been suggested that it may be a fluid (or lack of it !) problem but would value others ideas. Its a 2000 registered car with 140K onthe clock.

Thanks for reading,

Kim Marsden.

Change the oil, thats got the ford gearbox and uses Standard ATF oil

so cheap and worth changing, usually fixes a lots of problems, especially if the oil is low

What Joe said ^^^^^

I suspect it's had a change before and the wrong fluid was used, alternatively it could simply be the original fluid is old and dirty.

It's surprising how many faults are fluid related.

Also worth checking the wheel balance on the back end and also springs and dampers/shock absorbers and suspension bushes at the back end.

Thanks for the info. Oil and filter change seems to be the place to start.

All the best,

Kim.
