disconnecting battery

The garage that is selling me an s type 3.0 disconected the battery to charge it up prior to my test drive, however the car was misfiring, and a gearbox fault light was alarming, he has assured me that this will be resolved when they reset the management system.

i have another test drive arranged, is this something that you would expect to happen if the battery is removed.

the garage in question is very reputable, and the guy does seem to be genuine just making sure that what he believes is true.

i would definatly have a car inspection sorted before buying for your own peice of mind

The CPu should have been reset when the battery was added anyway
